Hyatt has announced the development of two luxury hotels in Jaumur, a coastal destination in Saudi Arabia’s Magna region, set to open in 2027. This expansion reinforces Hyatt’s partnership with NEOM and highlights the company’s commitment to growing its presence in the Kingdom.
The hotels will be the Park Hyatt Jaumur with 125 rooms and the Andaz Jaumur Marina featuring 225 rooms, totaling 350 rooms and suites designed for high-end experiences.
Jaumur is envisioned as a hub for coastal luxury, featuring a 300-berth marina and a deep-sea diving research center, promoting both land and sea activities.
Steven Ansell, Hyatt’s managing director for the Middle East and Africa, emphasized that this development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to attract 150 million visitors by 2030. He stated that Hyatt plans to triple its hotel portfolio in Saudi Arabia, targeting around 3,000 new rooms in future developments.
Ansell also mentioned ongoing discussions with developers and potential owners to facilitate this ambitious expansion. Javier Aguila, group president for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Hyatt, highlighted that these new properties will enhance the region’s tourism landscape while supporting NEOM’s sustainable tourism goals.
In line with Hyatt’s commitment to innovation, Ansell discussed the integration of artificial intelligence into hotel operations to improve customer service. He acknowledged that while AI will bring significant changes, it requires careful implementation over time.
This initiative marks a significant step in Hyatt’s growth strategy within the region, aiming to provide luxurious accommodations while contributing to the broader development goals of NEOM.
