Houthi forces claimed on Saturday that they had attacked the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower in the Red Sea and the Transworld Navigator ship in the Arabian Sea. They did not specify when the attacks took place.
A Houthi statement reported that the Transworld Navigator had taken a direct hit from a missile.
The statement also claimed that the operation against Eisenhower had successfully achieved its objectives, though it did not provide further details.
The alleged attack occurred shortly after the terrorist organization unveiled its new “Toufan-1” unmanned vessel. According to a report from the Iranian state news website IRNA, this new weapon “carries a 150 kg warhead and has a speed of 35 nautical miles per hour.”
Houthi-owned media outlets also reported that Yemeni security services would disclose confessions from “the American-Israeli spy network” allegedly targeting Yemen’s economic, oil, and communications sectors.
