Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned music mogul, has been accused by federal prosecutors of engaging in a pattern of abuse against women, as detailed in a sweeping indictment unsealed on September 17, 2024. The indictment outlines serious allegations that Combs used his influence and resources to exploit women, employing force, coercion, and drugs to facilitate sexual acts with male prostitutes during events he referred to as “Freak Offs.”
According to the indictment, which reveals a disturbing pattern of behavior spanning over a decade, Combs allegedly manipulated female victims under the guise of romantic relationships.
Once involved, he would use threats and controlled substances to coerce them into participating in elaborate sexual performances with male sex workers. These events, described as “Freak Offs,” were meticulously orchestrated by Combs, who reportedly directed the activities and often recorded them for personal use.
Prosecutors allege that some victims were provided with drugs such as ketamine, GHB, and ecstasy to facilitate their participation. The indictment details how Combs would sometimes arrange for these women to be flown in for these events, ensuring their compliance through intimidation and manipulation of their careers.
Federal authorities executed search warrants at Combs’ residences in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this year, where they seized a range of items linked to the alleged criminal activities. Among the items confiscated were narcotics, firearms—including three AR-15 rifles with defaced serial numbers—and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant intended for use during the “Freak Offs.” Additionally, evidence suggests that Combs brandished firearms to intimidate victims and witnesses.
The indictment paints a picture of Combs as the head of a criminal enterprise that engaged in various illegal activities, including sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for prostitution, and narcotics offenses.
Prosecutors allege that he utilized a network of employees, security staff, and aides to organize these illicit events and cover up incidents of abuse. Reports indicate that cash payoffs were made to silence victims and prevent them from coming forward.
Combs was arrested on September 16 in Manhattan following the unsealing of the indictment. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has vehemently denied all allegations against him. Agnifilo characterized the prosecution as unjust and emphasized that Combs has been cooperative throughout the investigation. He stated that Combs voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of these charges and expressed confidence in his client’s innocence.
