Austrian cryptocurrency exchange Bitpanda has entered into a long-term partnership with Italian football club AC Milan, becoming the club’s Premium Partner and Official Crypto Trading Partner for the upcoming 2024-25 Serie A season.
As part of this collaboration, Bitpanda will gain significant brand exposure at AC Milan’s iconic home stadium, the San Siro. The exchange’s branding will be prominently featured on TV-visible LED boards and across the club’s media channels. The partnership also opens the door for Bitpanda to create engaging content and offer exclusive experiences to its users, such as VIP access to AC Milan matches and special events.
Eric Demuth, co-founder and CEO of Bitpanda, highlighted the synergy between the two organizations, noting their shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and long-term success.
Bitpanda has been strategically partnering with top European sports teams to boost its brand visibility across the continent. This partnership with AC Milan follows the exchange’s high-profile deal with German football club FC Bayern Munich in January 2024, which significantly raised Bitpanda’s international profile.
In addition to football, Bitpanda has expanded its reach in other sports by securing partnerships with renowned athletes, including Swiss tennis star Stanislas Wawrinka and French rugby player Antoine Dupont, in May and July 2024, respectively. The exchange also sponsors several prestigious tennis tournaments, such as the Boss Open in Stuttgart, the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, and the Mallorca Championships.
For AC Milan, this partnership represents a key alliance in the club’s ongoing efforts toward innovation and digitalization. Maikel Oettle, AC Milan’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed the club’s enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the opportunity to deliver unique experiences to the club’s 500 million global fans.
From Bitpanda’s perspective, the partnership with AC Milan, a seven-time UEFA Champions League winner, reinforces the exchange’s position as a market leader in Italy.
