Thousands of people have taken over the street in Britain as the country set to witness the biggest industrial strikes in over a decade.
Schools and other social service utilities that are benefitting the residents have been closed down on Wednesday as trade unions continue to put pressure on the government for better pay amid high inflation.
At the moment, estimates indicated that hundreds of workers from different unions have joined the movement to show their grievances, while health officials are expected to join in a few days.
The union insisted on increasing the wages of workers to meet the financial difficulty they’re battling presently, as their earning salaries didn’t suffice much.
The trade union disclosed that the average public sector worker earned about £203 a month, while inflation in the country is at 10.5%, the highest in 40 years.
Over 23,000 will be affected as a result of the strike on Wednesday, while others including museum workers, London bus drivers, and others have joined the movement.
