The murder of a 16-year-old who was stabbed to death in Northampton has been charged against two adolescent lads, aged 14 and 16, who have appeared in court.
Fred, Rohan Shand’s family and friends’ nickname, passed away on Wednesday at around 15:35 GMT in Kingsthorpe.
For legal reasons, it is not possible to identify the two youngsters who attended Northampton Magistrates’ Court.
They were placed on remand and will make their next court appearance at Northampton Crown Court on Monday.
According to Northamptonshire Police, a 49-year-old male and a 21-year-old man who were both detained in relation to Rohan’s death have both been released with no further action.
The boy’s death, which occurred on Harborough Road not far from the intersection with The Cock Hotel, was reported to have left his family “devastated.”
According to a post-mortem examination, the kid died from a single chest knife wound.
The boy’s family was receiving help from specially qualified police, according to Northamptonshire Police.
