As the crisis in Ukraine intensifies and the threat of nuclear war continues growing, former German chancellor Angela Merkel warned that taking Putin’s words seriously is by means a sign of weakness or conciliation but a sign of political wisdom.
Angela Merkel said that the west should always take Putin’s words seriously and not ignore them thinking that he is bluffing,” every word spoken by Putin should be taken seriously”.
Her warning to the west comes after Putin said that the US was encouraging Ukraine to carry out attacks on nuclear plants in Russia after warning that Russia wouldn’t accept nuclear blackmail from the west since Russia also had more powerful, modern nuclear weapons.
President Putin says Russia will use nuclear weapons when the security of the country is threatened but that doesn’t mean Putin is going to use nuclear weapons today or tomorrow he is sending a message to US, UK and allies that Russia also has nuclear weapons and is willing to use them to defend the country
