President Erdogan accused Sweden of supporting hate against Islam, a religion that is sacrosanct to the value and customs of the Turkish people.
During a press conference on Monday, President Erdogan stressed that the country supporting hatred against Islam shouldn’t expect its support for a NATO bid.
“Those who allow such blasphemy in front of our embassy (in Stockholm) can no longer expect our support for their NATO membership,” President Erdogan states.
The Turkish president Insists that a lack of respect for the religious beliefs of the Turkish people and Muslims won’t be taken for granted, as it’s entirely an insult to tens of millions of Turkish citizens.
Those people who supported the burning of the Quran don’t deserve any support from us, Erdogan insisted.
