Elon Musk Will Get 'any assistance' Needed to Complete Tesla Gigafactory Berlin

According to a statement from the economy minister in a meeting with Elon Musk, Tesla is expected to get “every support” from the German government.
Elon Musk visited CureVac. He held a meeting today with the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Peter Altmaier.

Altmaier told Musk that for Gigafactory Berlin, Tesla will have “any assistance” that it wants.

The German Minister of Economy told Elon Musk that the government will aid in whatever way it needs to get the Berlin plant of Tesla Inc. up and running as soon as possible.
“We are very proud of your car plant in Brandenburg and we wish you good luck with that,” Peter Altmaier told Musk at a meeting of Angela Merkel’s caucus group in Berlin. “You’ll have every assistance you need.”

The automaker plans to start manufacturing in July 2021. Tesla would have to finish the design of its main buildings at the site quickly to make that possible.
But With the construction of Gigafactory Berlin Tesla runs into some problems. Locals had reservations about Tesla’s deforestation of thousands of trees to build the factory and the impact on the local fauna.
Some demonstrators were still standing at the factory site during his visitation in case of Musk came by.

They still have concerns about water use, and Tesla has difficulty getting her proposals approved, which is where funding from the government will come in.
CEO Elon Musk said last month that Tesla is using pre-fab methods to expedite the Gigafactory Berlin building.

Tesla plans to build Model Y at Gigafactory Berlin for the first time in order to meet European demand for the electric SUV.
