Major Ugandan Media houses come together in a single broadcast to warn Ugandans of the danger head as Covid-19 cases surge past 30,000 with more than 250 dead.

Hospitals operating with limited resources. No new beds in hospitals as admission surge overwhelming health care system.

Ministry of health has requests people to follow standard procedure guard lines put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

According to the Uganda Ministry of Health, it registered 701 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hrs with Kampala the capital city of Uganda having the highest number of reported Covid-19 cases followed by Wakiso which is in the neighborhood with 66 confirmed cases.

The requests from the Ministry of health come as covid-19 cases continue to rise nationwide and as the country heads for the Christmas holiday.

Uganda has reached phase 4 of Covid-19 transmission where numbers are growing through community transmission worrying Uganda’s ministry of health that the system maybe overwhelmed.

Fear continues to rise among health experts that mass movement of people from cities and towns to villages may pose the greatest danger to elderly people living in villages so they are encouraging the Ugandan government to shut down the transportation system before the Christmas holiday.

Ugandan was one of the few countries that controlled the Covid-19 pandemic.

But as it became politicized, a great danger started when people no longer worried about covid-19 guard lines while running election campaigns.

Concerns of Ugandans losing out on the Covid-19 vaccine rises as all available doses have been pre-ordered by the developed countries.

The Ugandan government says it has done everything possible to stop the Covid-19 pandemic and has vowed to procure the covid-19 vaccine once the World Health Organization has approved it.
