The Iranian court has sent Sajjad Heidarnava to over 8 years in prison after the gruesome murder of his teen wife.
The court which had its hearing on Wednesday, convicted Heidarnava on two charges and sentenced them on both charges, he was found guilty of both murder and assault and the judiciary penalized him with a seven and half years, and eight months for both charges.
The second defendant who turned out to be his brother, Heidar Heidarnava was sentenced to 45 months in prison for complicity in intentional homicide.
The judiciary spokesman Massoud Setayeshi said both brothers have been restrained from protesting against the verdict, as the decision is final.
The deceased, Mona Heidari, 17, was gruesomely murdered by her husband and brother-in-law, who beheaded her head from her body in February last year in Ahvaz, the capital of Iran’s southwest Khuzestan province.
