It was a “planned and determined act of sabotage,” according to authorities, that caused the fire to engulf the world’s largest refugee camp in Rohingya last week.

On March 5th, a fire in Bangladesh destroyed about 2,800 shelters and rendered homeless 15,000 Rohingya migrants.

According to the government officer overseeing the investigation, militant organizations ignited the fire in order to “dominate” the camps.

According to Abu Safian, the simultaneous occurrence of multiple fires provided evidence that it was planned.

There weren’t any losses. Yet in various parts of the Cox Bazaar camp, the fire destroyed homes and destroyed vital infrastructure networks, including schools, medical facilities, and service centers.

After speaking with 150 witnesses, the seven-person team established to examine the fire presented its findings on Sunday.
