Ms. Natalie E Brown, The United States Ambassador to Uganda has urged all beneficiaries of the US exchange programs to capitalize on the skills and depth of knowledge attained to transform communities across the country.
Natalie implored the alumni community comprised of more than 47,000 Ugandans to be exemplary in the drive for change in the country.
According to Natalie, the US invests in these programs to bring the two countries closer together and hoped that by connecting them to American and American-style training through exchanges, they will have the opportunity to share (knowledge and skills) with the people they meet.
The alumni were advised to exploit strength vested in teamwork through their networks built over time as means of pushing for the full realization of their targets.
Natalie lauded and credited the alumni community for cohesion and collaborative work for development as well as their undying thirst for the betterment of Uganda, East Africa, and the world and their contribution towards the successful implementation of some of the vaccination drive in the country.
Ambassador Natalie says with the representatives drawn from a wide pool of cohorts, the gala was purposely convened to honor the impact of the US exchange program alumni during the celebration of the 60 years of the US-Uganda relationship.
