Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, has been proclaimed the victor of the Ilesha-Gwanara State Constituency by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In reporting the results, the Returning Officer, Dr. Adewale Rafiu, stated that Usman Abubakar of the PDP received 2,072 votes, while Danladi-Salihu of the All Progressives Congress received 14, 949 votes.
In accordance with the law, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu of the APC is hereby pronounced the victor and is re-elected, Rafiu said.
In his acceptance speech, Danladi-Salihu congratulated his constituents for their overwhelming support which contributed to his victory, assuring them that he will continue to prioritise their wellbeing.
