Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi in his latest interview with Chude Jideonwo draws a comparison between APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu and Brazilian football legend, Pele.
He described Tinubu as a patriot who had contributed immensely to the political scope of Nigeria with his records and achievement.
Just like Brazil today, they recognize that some time ago Pele was a star, a fantastic footballer, but they are not going to field him in today’s match, he said.
About Tinubu, he said they have contributed immensely one way or the other in the past as their records speak for them, and they have to be respected and recognized in due time, but because they contributed in the past and everything doesn’t necessarily mean that they have to stay forever and ever. They move on and things move on. He said.
He also gives accolades to the APC Presidential Candidate, saying “Tinubu is my respected elder brother, but the only thing I am saying is where we are today. It is a job that requires physical and mental energy because the country is in a mess. It’s a 24-hour job.”
His reply came following the question asked by Chude on Peter Obi’s recent video that circulated online, where he was seen talking about some party propaganda against him not investing in Lagos should he become the President.
