APC Presidential Campaign Spokesperson Festus Keyamo (SAN) has hit back at the leadership of the Northern Elders Forum for their remarks on putting to test the integrity of every Presidential aspirant seeking their support in the forthcoming election.
Responding to the question asked by Seun during a live interview with the Northern Elders Forum Spokesperson Ahmad Baba, Keyamo said, the Elders Forum doesn’t speak for the whole of Northern Nigeria as they are not the ones In control of the street.
“They didn’t support Buhari in 2019, and he won massively in the North, while Atiku didn’t even get up to 10% in the North,” Keyamo said.
Reiterating that politics and winning elections are based on capacity, Festus Keyamo is resting assured his party would have a landslide victory in the upcoming election without the endorsement of any groups or body.
Tinubu/Shettima ticket has been the majorly discussed issue in the politics of Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general election, and Keyamo is resting assured of victory for Tinubu/Shettima ticket based on their records and antecedents.
Reacting to Keyamo’s statement, the group spokesperson Ahmad Baba said, “we will and shall scrutinize every aspiring president, and should the APC Presidential aspirant not take the necessary precaution, he will lose the election.” Baba said.
“We do not have the capacity but we have groups we work together with.”
Ahmad Baba also decry the worsening economic condition the country found itself in due to negligence on the side of President Buhari’s led administration.
With election campaigns starting in a few days, political parties in the country would be doing everything possible in their power to gain the heart of the electorate to their side.
The North will be the new hub of every aspirants, as the region boast of the bulk majority of electorate in the country’s election.
