The All Progressives Congress (APC) will form the next administration, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan has asked all opposition parties to work together to further Nigeria’s development.
Lawan claimed that government, which is available to everybody, has taken precedence over the 2023 elections.
In an audience with a delegation from the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States led by its Secretary General, Georges Chikoti, he said this on Friday in Abuja.
While acknowledging that Nigeria is in the midst of a transition, Lawan reassured his guests that the organization would not experience any problems when a new government took office on May 29, 2023.
“You are coming at a time when we are going through a transition, and I want to thank you very much for congratulating Nigeria on the peaceful elections that we had and, of course, the peaceful and very smooth transition that are going through,” the Senate President added.
