Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, was chosen to serve the Agege 1 seat for a sixth term.

The announcement was given on Sunday at the Collation Center in Orile Agege by Dr. Lukman Adeniji, the INEC Returning Officer for the Agege constituency election.

According to him, candidates from eight political parties ran in the Saturday election.

He claimed that Obasa received 17,214 votes, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party with 1,609 votes, Raheem Alani of the Labour Party with 3,933 votes, and Kafayat Biobaku of the African Democratic Congress with 62 votes.
