As he prepares to take on the role of president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said yesterday that he understands the magnitude of the challenges ahead, assuring Nigerians and president muhammadu buhari that he will not disappoint them.

In Abuja, Tinubu spoke after being presented with the grand commander of the Order of the federal republic, GCFR, the highest national award by President Buhari. Senator kashim shettima, the president-elect, was also rewarded with the grand commander of the order of the niger, GCON.

Tinubu, the winner of the presidential election on February 25, told President Buhari to “wait for knocks” on his door after defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and peter obi of the labor party, lp.

Tinubu, who said that Nigeria’s course may not be smooth, expressed confidence in the country’s purpose and collective ability to tackle challenges.
