Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has said he does not blame the media for any sabotage against him, has forgiven them, and wants the same in return.
In a farewell meeting with the government house press crew in Kano on Saturday night, he declared this.
He praised how newsmen gave all they had to help him accurately report his activities during his eight years as governor, as well as the crew, who worked tirelessly throughout his tenure.
He also recalled his contributions to the state since he took office in 2015, saying he served the state in many capacities.
“I was commissioner for six years, even during the military regime. I was deputy governor for eight years and governor for a further eight years.
