Germany Chancellor, Olaf Scholz said, his country and France are committed to supporting Ukraine as long as necessary in their fight against Russia’s aggression.
Delivering a speech at a conference held in honor of 60 years cooperation of Franco-German, Olaf Scholz said, “We will continue to provide Ukraine with all the support it needs for as long as necessary. Together, as Europeans, to defend our European peace project.”
Despite mounting pressure on Germany to consent to the delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine, the chancellor failed to comment on the refusal.
He described the protection of Ukraine as a collective objective by Western allies which must be achieved for peace to return to European.
