Four alleged terrorists have been charged by the Directorate of State Services in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State’s Chief Magistrate’s Court.
On December 9, 2022, the suspects (Aliu Abubakar, Abubakar Usman, Abubakar Amadu, and Adamu Aliu) were taken into custody.
In a lawsuit filed by the state against Aliu Abubakar and three other individuals with the case number MISC/15/2023, the accused were arraigned on Wednesday for terrorism and kidnapping allegations.
Emmanuel Zamba, the attorney for the prosecution, informed the court that the DSS had submitted an ex parte motion about the lawsuit on March 15.
He stated that the request submitted, which includes a five-paragraph document, sought a court order remanding the suspects to the state’s prison custody.
The suspected crimes, according to Zamba, violated sections 2 and 3 of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
