Political parties on Thursday admitted that they had difficulties in sourcing cash that would be used to pay their polling agents during Saturday’s elections.
Parties officials including the All Progressives Congress, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the New Nigerian Peoples Party, in their respective interviews with The PUNCH Newspaper, attributed the problem to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s cashless policy.
The political party leaders in the country describe that it’s hard for anybody to get cash from the bank. The party’s official lamented that they need cash to pay their polling units agent.
