President Muhammad Buhari will today commission Dangote petroleum refinery & Petrochemicals, the world’s largest single train refinery in Ibeju-lekki, Lagos, alongside counterparts from Ghana, Togo, Senegal, niger, and Chad, in a historic moment.

The petroleum refining plant, which can process 650,000 barrels per day (bpd), is located on 2,635 hectares of land in the Dangote Industries free zone in Ibeju-lekki, Lagos, and will employ over 100,000 people, according to Africa’s richest man, aliko Dangote.

The next onstream of the massive scheme is expected to mark Nigeria’s departure from the oil-rich nations group, which are also major importers of petroleum products.

Apart from international dignitaries, the presidents of Togo, gnassingbé eyadéma of Ghana, macky sall of Senegal, the president of the niger republic, Mahamat Déby, and a host of ambassadors are expected to attend the historic gathering.
